Summer Internship Program 2026: Closing Ceremony

Hong Kong Life Sciences Society (HKLSS) held the Closing Ceremony of its 8th Life Sciences Summer Internship Program on 8 August. 60 interns selected from a record-breaking pool of over 1,000 applications completed their 7-week Summer Internship Program at 30 HKLSS partner companies across Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai. Together with the tour participants from the concurrent Wuxi-Shanghai and GBA-Shanghai Study Tours, nearly 100 aspiring talents attended the Closing Ceremony and Reunion for a dynamic exchange.

The Closing Ceremony honored by the presence and Welcome Remarks from Dr Maggie Lo, Chief Manager (Life and Health Technology), Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises, HKSAR Government (OASES), as well as representatives from our employer companies, mentors and distinguished guests. The morning was also filled with heartfelt sharing from the three cities’ intern representatives, who reflected on their journeys, new connections, and the insights gained from working alongside industry leaders and researchers. The occasion was concluded with an encouraging Closing Remark by Prof Ken Wong, Executive Director of HKLSS.
