HKLSS participated in Nan Fung Group’s community event ‘In Time Of’ – “Halloween Festival: The Lingering Fine Wine” at Nan Fung Place from 28 to 30 October 2022. HKLSS 2021 and 2022 interns managed a pop-up booth during the event to introduce their brewing project - “The Scientist’s Brew” and shared related brewing science facts with the public through mini-games.
Moreover, HKLSS organized two workshops: ‘Beer Mug Candle’ and ‘The Principles of Brewing and Tasting’. Under guidance from the professional instructor and brewer, the participants crafted their one-of-a-kind ‘beer mug candle’ and learned the biochemical reactions that took place in the brewing process.
