HKLSS Summer Internship Program 2026 Opening Ceremony cum Wuxi-Shanghai & GBA-Shanghai Study Tours Kick-off Ceremony officially commenced on 17 June. With the support of the Youth Development Commission, the GBA-Shanghai and Wuxi-Shanghai Study Tours ran concurrently this year, each unfolding distinct experiences before converging in Shanghai. 

Prof Ken Wong, Executive Director of HKLSS welcomed our distinguished partners and nearly 100 young members from the two key HKLSS programs. There was an inspiring panel sharing on “Navigating Career Paths in Life Sciences: Opportunities and Challenges”, moderated by Mr Raymond Yuan, Director - Group CEO's Office of Nan Fung Group. Our speakers included Ms Carmen Lee, Vice President of Insighta; Mr Franco Pang, Vice President, Investment of Bayland Capital; and Mr Tony Yung, Chief Commercial Officer of Advanced Biomedical Instrumentation Centre.

The networking lunch after the ceremony brought together participants from different institutions, disciplines and backgrounds, as well as representatives from various companies and organizations, fostering meaningful exchanges in an open atmosphere.

Later in the afternoon, interns were arranged to visit AstraZeneca and the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park.
