LIFE SCIENCES SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM 2024

New knowledge and technologies are constantly changing the landscape of life sciences and its many branches. To address the key needs of emerging talent in the field, HKLSS offers a unique life sciences/biotech internship opportunity to undergraduate and postgraduate students to explore cutting-edge research, latest technology, and the future of life sciences and biotechnology.

Selected interns will be assigned to our partner companies in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai, including start-ups, venture capitals, NGOs, healthcare and pharmaceutical companies. They will also engage with sector specialists through networking and presentations, exploring other career directions of biotechnology and life sciences.

INTERNS WILL

Acquire practical skills that are applicable in the workplace
Work with experienced researchers and biotech entrepreneurs
Expose to one of the following sectors: R&D, business development, biotech or healthcare investment, marketing, science communication, and project management
Participate in the core program, including workshops, lab visits, conversations with C-suite executives, and networking activities
Be given priority in applying our mentorship scheme

ELIGIBILITY

Senior-year undergraduate and postgraduate students, aged 18 or above, with an academic qualification in life sciences, biomedical sciences, medicine or a related discipline
Priority will be given to MRes, MPhil or PhD students when considering interns for R&D positions
Recent graduates and applicants with a non-life sciences background will be considered on a case-by-case basis
