Event Highlight: HKLSS 5th Anniversary Celebration cum Mentorship Scheme 2024/25 Kick-off Ceremony

The HKLSS 5^th Anniversary Celebration cum Mentorship Scheme 2024/25 Kick-off Ceremony was held on 21 March 2024 at AIRSIDE, Nan Fung Group’s flagship mixed-use complex at Kai Tak. Over 200 distinguished guests, including HKLSS advisory board members, mentors, employer representatives, industry and institutional partners, mentees and mentee alumni gathered to celebrate this special moment with us. 

The evening started with welcoming remarks by Mr Vincent Cheung, Founder and Board Chair, HKLSS and CEO, Nan Fung Group, opening remarks by Honorable Duncan Chiu, Legislative Council Member (Technology and Innovation), Legislative Council, HKSAR, and the keynote address by Prof Kwok Yung Yuen, Member of the HKLSS Advisory Board, and Henry Fok Professor in Infectious Diseases and Chair of Infectious Diseases, Department of Microbiology, The University of Hong Kong.

This event marked a significant milestone for us and served as an opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments while looking ahead to an exciting future. To celebrate our 5th anniversary, guests joined us on stage for a celebrative moment which signified the continuation of HKLSS’ journey to building a dynamic biotech ecosystem.

The second highlight of the ceremony was the kick-off of the Mentorship Scheme 2024/25. We invited two mentors – Mr Sampson Lau, Venture Partner of GT Healthcare Capital Partners and Ms Charlotte Chow, Associate, Group CEO's Office of Nan Fung Group and two mentees – Mr Harrison Li and Miss Menglin Ou from previous cohorts to share their invaluable insights and experiences on the Scheme.
