Notes to Applicants 

  1. Shortlisted applicants will be notified by HKLSS in early June 2026.
  2. HKLSS reserves the right of final decision in all matters related to the selection.
  3. All applicants will automatically become members of HKLSS and registered users of Biotech Talent, a job platform under HKLSS.

Statement on Collection of Personal Data

  1. Applicants must supply their personal data and provide all the information requested in the application documents, as otherwise, the Hong Kong Life Sciences Society (HKLSS) may be unable to process and consider their applications.
  2. The personal data provided in this form will be used for administrative purposes relating to the Wuxi-Shanghai Study Tour or GBA-Shanghai Study Tour and other activities organized by HKLSS. The data will be solely handled by HKLSS but may be transferred to an authorized third party providing services to HKLSS in relation to the above purposes and prescribed purposes as allowed by the law from time to time.
  3. HKLSS will contact the applicants via email and/or by other means, such as messaging apps (if the need arises). It is therefore important that the email address and mobile phone number that the applicant provides are accurate. Any change should be reported to HKLSS immediately. Those who cannot be reached by the aforesaid means should contact HKLSS for separate arrangements.
  4. By submitting this application, the applicant agrees that the personal data provided will be used to register as a user of Biotech Talent. The applicant’s name and email address will be shared with Biotech Talent for membership administration, communications, and related activities. If you have questions or wish to opt out of Biotech Talent, please contact us at enquiry@hklss.org.
  5. Under the provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, applicants have the right to request HKLSS to ascertain whether it holds their personal data, to be given a copy, and to apply for correction of the data, if deemed incorrect. Such applications for access to information should be addressed to HKLSS.

Use of Personal Data related to Direct Marketing 

From time to time, HKLSS will send the latest updates and promotional materials to applicants, members and alumni on the availability of the activities. Various communication channels will be employed such as direct mail, mobile phone and other forms of social media, by using your contact information. You always have the right to make subsequent changes on your choice of receiving further marketing materials by sending a written unsubscribe request (by email or by post) to HKLSS at any time.
